1 In this appeal, we are called upon to apply Frye v. United States, 293 F. 1013 (D.C. Cir. 1923), to determine the admissibility of complex statistical evidence concerning the interpretation of mixed DNA samples using likelihood ratios. Appellate review of the admissibility of this particular type of evidence is a matter of first impression. For the reasons that follow, we hold that the statistical formulas used to determine the likelihood ratios corresponding to the DNA matches in this case satisfy the Frye standard for admissibility of scientific evidence. Because defendant raises no other issues on appeal, we affirm his convictions and sentences.
